Peter A. Bernstein
Peter is an internationally recognized marketing and communications expert. With over 30 years of experience, he has been: a trade association executive; "Tier A" industry analyst; state and federal lobbyist; senior marketing and business development executive; publisher of a portfolio of newsletters; co-creator and editor-in-chief of a 40K+ subscriber wireless magazine for corporate users; author of numerous reports and white papers; featured columnist for 10 years in the telecom industry's leading publication; keynote speaker at prestigious IT events around the world; advisory board member to leading technology start-ups; consultant to international technology user groups; counselor to institutional and private investment firms; and a very successful entrepreneur. He was also a founding member of the New York New Media Association, and a member of its exclusive Executive Roundtable.

Peter's clients have included an international who's who of communications and IT industry companies and executives. He has been the lead independent advisor for several of the communications industry's most successful product and company launches including: Avaya's IP Telephony product line (he formulated the name ECLIPSE – Enterprise Class IP SystEm), Nortel's wireless telephony system (COMPANION); and Siemens real-time collaboration suite (OpenScape), and the introduction to the world of Castle Networks, Merlot Communications and several others notable technology companies.

Peter will be helping e5 clients with business strategy, positioning, messaging, brand awareness and stewardship, establishing thought and market leadership, media and analyst relations, public affairs, and a variety of other activities that leverage his strategic and communications talents.

Prior to joining e5, in chronological order, Peter was VP Business Development at Niksun, Inc., an executive in corporate and product marketing and communications at Telcordia Technologies, Founder and President of Infonautics Consulting, Inc., and Senior VP of Research at Probe Research Inc. (where he held a variety of additional positions).

He started his career as the Co-Director of Research at the North American Telephone Association at the dawn of the competitive era and subsequently became their lobbyist as the VP President of a firm he co-founded. He even had the distinct pleasure of writing astronaut James Lovell's congressional testimony in favor of competitive telecom legislation.

Peter is: a graduate of Wesleyan University, holding a Bachelor in Arts in Political Science; a graduate of the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas, Austin, with a Masters of Public Affairs degree. He also holds 30 credits toward his Executive MBA degree from Rutgers University.
